If you choose to have a traditional "First Dance," there are a number of
things to think about.

#1.  Song Selection
You typically do not want to pick a song that is too fast or too slow. Your song
should be sentimental to both of you and you don't have to dance to the entire
song if you choose not to.

#2. What type of dance is appropriate with the song?
Typically foxtrot or waltz work with slower songs, but you may opt to do a
Rumba, or even salsa to be different. The important thing is that both of you
look comfortable with doing the dance.

#3. Set aside time to rehearse with your partner.
Y
ou don't have to be Fred Astaire, but you do want to look comfortable and
not stiff.

#4. Think about Choreography.
With Choreography, and coaching well in advance of your big day, you can
create a routine that looks great, will impress your family and friends, and a
moment hopefully captured on film that you can look back on over the years.

Our staff at Dance with Me works with Wedding couples weekly. We
can show you the "basics," to get you by for your first dance and
reception or all the way to choreographing a routine that will be
remembered.

their big day.
